ABOUT ME

ELENA SARGHIUTA Lic.Ac, MBAcC, Dip. Tui Na

My clinical foundation was built during my three-year, degree-level training at The Acupuncture Academy (TAA), where I earned my Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture (Honours degree equivalent). My studies combined the foundational philosophies and diagnostic principles of Chinese Medicine with rigorous coursework in human anatomy, physiology, and clinical research. This grounding ensures patient safety is at the heart of every assessment.

As a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), I am bound by the strictest codes of safe practice and professional ethics in the UK. I maintain comprehensive medical malpractice insurance and adhere strictly to the highest hygiene and safety protocols. The BAcC is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which is the government body that oversees health and social care regulation in the UK.

Furthermore, my active registration with Healthcode’s Private Practice Register (PPR) means I am already vetted and recognised by the UK’s major private health insurers.

To bring the highest level of care to my practice, I followed my acupuncture degree with a specialised clinical mentorship under Dr. Sean Tuten, DOM, which profoundly deepened my practice and understanding of Classical Chinese Medicine.

Committed to lifelong learning and clinical mastery, I regularly pursue advanced postgraduate training in Classical Chinese Medicine. I have completed extensive continuing education with Daoist priest and teacher Jeffrey Yuen and renowned author Ann Cecil-Sterman. This rigorous classical lineage expands beyond standard textbook protocols, allowing me to work with complex patterns of imbalance, deep-seated emotional tension, and long-held physical strain with greater nuance and precision.

In addition to acupuncture, I hold a specialised diploma in Tui Na - a therapeutic form of traditional Chinese bodywork. Tui Na allows me to physically address and release deep-seated tension and realign the body’s energy using targeted manual techniques. Because it is performed fully clothed, it is a deeply restorative, needle-free alternative for anyone who is sensitive or hesitant about acupuncture. Whether used on its own or alongside needles, Tui Na allows me to provide a deeply relaxing and supportive experience for a wider range of patients, ensuring the profound benefits of this time-honoured tradition are accessible to everyone.
