ACUPUNCTURE
Returning to the Source
Just as the river does not force its way through the mountain, but gently, persistently finds the path of least resistance, acupuncture does not force your body into health. Instead, it acts as an invitation, an opening. Acupuncture is the gentle turning of the key - a conversation between the needle and the nervous system, inviting the mind to stand down and the body to soften into its own innate stillness and balance.
An exercise in stillness
After the needles are placed, the practitioner steps back, and the work happens internally. The insertion itself is followed by a sensation known as De Qi - a heaviness, a subtle electrical hum, or a feeling of warmth spreading from the point. You are then left to rest, often slipping into a liminal, meditative state where your mind and body can deeply reset.
You will likely step off the table feeling deeply relaxed and looser immediately after your first session. However, the real benefit often unfolds in the days between your sessions, as your body has the time and space to rest, settle, and respond. Each session builds on the progress of the last, which is why completing an initial course is highly recommended rather than just stopping as soon as you begin to feel a positive shift.
